Paul Hoverman
Coordinator for Performing Arts

As the Director of the Niswonger Performing Arts Center Paul has been with the Van Wert County Foundation since March 2002 and is responsible for coordinating existing musical activities which are supported by the Saltzgaber Fund as well as to create new cultural opportunities to benefit the people of the Van Wert region.

Paul is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Music Education. Prior to joing the Foundation staff, Paul taught music in the public schools for ten years and was the owner of Hoverman Music Center in Van Wert for 14 years.

He is currently the Senior Choir Director at First United Methodist Church in Van Wert and performs professionally on trumpet with the Lima Symphony Orchestra and Polaris Brass- Ohio Northern University‚Äôs Faculty Brass Quintet.  He is also active in the community, serving on numerous  boards and committees on economic development.

 The Niswonger Performing Arts Center

The Niswonger Performing Arts Center is a professionally operated performance venue and meeting area which features the state-of-the-art Van Wert County Foundation Saltzgaber Music Hall which seats 1200 people.  The First Federal Lecture Hall accommodates 175 for professional business meetings, social gatherings and lectures.  The beautiful Van Wert Federal Grand Lobby hosts many meetings, receptions, and banquets. 

Owned by the Van Wert City Schools, the operations are controlled by the Van Wert Area Performing Arts Foundation, a supporting foundation  of the Van Wert County Foundation.  Professional national and international touring artists and shows are booked throughout the season in addition to numerous local and school events and concerts.  They can all be viewed on the NPAC website:
